Building and Interior

Its building was designed by Toyo Ito, one of Japan’s leading architects active at the forefront of the world stage.
The interior was created through the efforts of Kazuko Fujie, a furniture designer, and Yoko Ando, a textile coordinator and designer, who made it into a sophisticated space in which infants and parents can relax and feel comfortable.

Main Facilities

All areas of the building are covered by a wireless local area network. Please have a pleasant time in our bright and cozy space.

Umbilical cord box

Since ancient times, the tradition of preserving a baby’s umbilical cord has symbolized the bond between mother and child.
We will place the umbilical cord in a box made of paulownia wood, a treasure trove of handwritten items, and present it to you.
Please take home this precious symbol of the bond between mother and child.

Celebratory meal

Along with your delivery, we prepare banquet of celebration.
We also provide meals with seasonal ingredients and healthy snacks arranged by Kaoru Suzuki, a culinary researcher and nutritionist specializing in gynecology.

Baby wipe set (made of organic cotton)

Newborns have extremely sensitive skin. Everything they touch is a new experience for them.
Our clinic uses baby wipes made of organic cotton.
You can use them without having to worry about allergies from pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

Baby rompers and underwear (organic cotton)

We gift original baby rompers and underwear made from organic cotton to parents who have delivered their baby at our hospital.
This organic cotton is gentle on the skin and is grown free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides, meaning it is unlikely to irritate your newborn’s sensitive skin. These can be used until your newborn is around four months old.

Pamphlet

When pregnancy is full of unknowns, you tend to become anxious. We hand out a pamphlet to visitors that summarizes the information you need to know during pregnancy so that you can feel at ease.
Please refer to it for information on a range of topics, such as issues that occur during pregnancy, meals and exercise, feeding with milk after giving birth, and daily life after being discharged from hospital.

Picture book

We send an original picture book present to you around the time your baby turns one.
Our clinic conveys its heartfelt congratulations on your baby’s first birthday.
